Under general direction, to have responsibility for the administration and supervision of the Planning Department and Code Enforcement Division of the County Community Development Agency; to assign, coordinate, and schedule planning studies and projects; to perform a variety of the more difficult, complex, and specialized assignments in the preparation and distribution of planning reports; to represent the County Planning Department with groups and organizations; to perform technical reviews of land use and permit applications, environmental impact reports, and environmental statements; to explain ordinances, resolutions, regulations, and County policies to the public; and to do related work as required.
